I've been feeling rather down lately. Bogged down by the complications of life.
The tiresome nature of Chinese New Year only makes it worse. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the festivities, in fact I quite like it. I enjoy the traditional notion of family where we'll always be there for one another and we do the same darn things every single year. Put aside the extra cash...Its the idea that we each take something from the previous generation and have a legacy to continue that appeals to me. That we have our own stories and memories to share with the next and the privilege to continue the good work they have started. I miss my family. I wish we were even closer. They are the few in this world where we can look at without incredulous eyes and know they mean well. I know some of you may disagree but well, that's what family are for.
I am tired. Of the world.
